Infants and Toddlers

The infant room is a warm and nurturing environment which allows infants to explore with all of their senses around them.  The infant room's schedule is unique to each child's individual needs.  The teachers provide an environment which offers one on one attention as well as an opportunity for childcare to freely explore and interact with other children in a safe environment.  The infant teachers understand how important the development of early language skills are and offer many experiences throughout the day to encourage language development.

The Toddler room allows for many hands on experiences for children to develop self help skills, language development, as well as positive social interactions.  The teachers understand that children learn best through play and carefully plan their curriculum to incorporate age appropriate activities to encourage positive interactions.  The typical toddler day is full of offering new experiences through play, reading, sensory activities, and outdoor play.  The toddler teachers always pay attention to the unlimited energy and curiosity that toddlers have.

Preschool and Pre-K

The center has two preschool programs.  Preschool three and four year olds, and Pre-K four and five year olds.  Each program's curriculum is developed specifically for the different age groups.

The Caterpillars are the younger three and four year olds.  Their classroom objectives are to work on positive social skills, program solving with friends, letter and number recognition, and fine motor skills with beginning writing.  We offer ample free play to explore the world around them through dramatic play, sensory activities, and hands of manipulative learning toys.

The Bees are the older four and five year olds.  This class continues on working on positive social skills, pre-reading skills by understanding that words have meanings and introducing phonics.  The children also start to learn that they have a place in the world by being a good friend, showing empathy towards their peers, and having a sense of positive self esteem.  The teachers foster the curiosity  of the children's minds by exposing them to science, creative art, and cooking as well as the opportunity to have a moment of sharing during show and tell each week.

Before and After School Age

In our before and after school age program we understand and respect that children need a place to unwind after a long day at school.  The program offers a space where teachers are good role models for social development.  On a normal school day children are offered a healthy snack, time to work  on homework, directed free play, creative art activities, outdoor time, as well as quiet time if needed.  Team building and community involvement are a big part of our curriculum.  On non school days and school vacations we offer many enrichment activities as well as educational and interactive field trips that offer children the opportunity to explore and have new experiences.
